Anti-Obesity Campaign in local schools

This is a new venture (in association with AAPI), to address the alarming obesity rates in children. ISCOPI has successfully launched at least 3 anti-obesity campaigns in Southern CA amonngst elementary schoolchildren.

 

 

 

Health Promotion

A major commitment of the organization is to promote good health (eating and lifestyle habits) in the community, especially amongst schoolchildren.This effort has been widely appreciated by community leaders, who have whole-heartedly supported such ideals.

Meetings

ISCOPI meets once a month to make executive decisions on house-keeping activities, organize projects, and plan for the future. This is usually accompanied by a CME activity, courtesy of eminent physicians and speakers in the local community, and sponsors.

Meetings conclude with dinner and some light entertainment. Plenty of networking opportunities are provided, linking trainees, community & university-based physicians, and business leaders.
